Remediation of existing assets can offer significant cost savings and operational efficiencies compared to new-build infrastructure. Use of Concrete Canvas® (CC) products for concrete repair, remediation and re-surfacing provides a rapid means to increase the service life and reduce life cycle costs for existing assets.
CC products offer rapid installation, excellent resistance to abrasion and extreme weathering, and provide puncture, impact and animal damage protection. Typically, CCT1® is used for concrete repair, minimising volume capacity reduction. A low Manning’s value maintains hydraulic requirements, whilst CC’s flexibility allows for artificial baffling for flow velocity reduction.

CC products are well established in their use to repair, re-surface and remediate aging concrete infrastructure. The unique composite construction of CC products enables a much thinner surfacing layer to be applied when compared to conventional concrete, significantly reducing volume loss on critical infrastructure. CC products unique properties also provide a lower carbon alternative to traditional concrete.
FAQs
It is a flexible, concrete filled geotextile that hardens on hydration to form a thin, durable and waterproof concrete layer. Essentially, it can be described as Concrete on a Roll® and is used for a wide variety of applications including the rapid lining of drainage channels, providing slope protection, weed suppression, culvert repair and general concrete remediation.
Failing concrete must be cleaned and mortar applied to larger cracks (typically anything larger than 50mm in any direction) to eliminate voids under the CC. A suitable geotextile may also be used.
Any loose soil, rocks, concrete debris and vegetation should be removed.
