Slope Protection
Surface erosion control to ensure long term slope protection
Concrete Canvas® (CC) products can be installed up to 10-times faster than conventional concrete solutions, reducing time on site and asset closures. Unlike traditional methods, CC products generate no bounce back, reduces the need for line or lane possession and can be installed around sensitive infrastructure. CC products are typically five-times as abrasion resistant as standard OPC concrete, have excellent chemical resistance, good weathering performance and will not degrade in UV. CC products provide excellent weed suppression, reducing maintenance, life cycle costs and OSHA risks.

User Benefits
Rapid Installation
CC can be installed at up to 12,000sf/hour, 10 times faster than traditional concrete.
Easy To Use
Requires less equipment, smaller crews and no on-site mixing or measuring — Just Add Water™.
Lower Project Costs
Faster installation and reduced logistics can make CC more cost-effective than conventional methods.
Lower Carbon
Uses up to 95% less material than concrete, cutting carbon and reducing transport needs.
FAQs
Concrete Canvas® (CC) is part of a revolutionary new class of construction materials called Geosynthetic Cementitious Composite Mats (GCCMs). It is a flexible, concrete filled geosynthetic which hardens on hydration to form a thin, durable, waterproof and lower carbon alternative to conventional concrete. Essentially, it’s Concrete on a Roll™.
Concrete Canvas® is unrolled into position and secured in place. The material is then hydrated. There is a 2-hour working window before setting begins, and in 24 hours the material hardens to service performance specifications.
Slope protection is where the body of the slope is inherently stable but the surface of the slope is prone to erosion caused by weathering, surface run-off and environmental degradation. Concrete Canvas® can be used for slope protection in this case.
Slope stabilisation is where the body of the slope is geotechnically unstable and is at risk of suffering from slip (where a mass of the slope collapses). In certain applications, Concrete Canvas® can be used for structural slope stabilisation by combining it with flexible structural facings. In this case, the project should be designed by a geotechnical engineer. See CC Installation Guide: Slope Protection for more details.
