Remediation
Extending the life of aging or damaged infrastructure
Remediation of existing assets can offer significant cost savings and operational efficiencies compared to new-build infrastructure. Use of Concrete Canvas® (CC) products for concrete repair, remediation and re-surfacing provides a rapid means to increase the service life and reduce life cycle costs for existing assets.
CC products offer rapid installation, excellent resistance to abrasion and extreme weathering, and provide puncture, impact and animal damage protection. Typically, CCT1™ is used for concrete repair, minimizing volume capacity reduction. A low Manning’s value maintains hydraulic requirements, while CC’s flexibility allows for artificial baffling for flow velocity reduction.

User Benefits
Rapid Installation
CC can be installed at up to 12,000sf/hour, 10 times faster than traditional concrete.
Easy To Use
Requires less equipment, smaller crews and no on-site mixing or measuring — Just Add Water™.
Lower Project Costs
Faster installation and reduced logistics can make CC more cost-effective than conventional methods.
Lower Carbon
Uses up to 95% less material than concrete, cutting carbon and reducing transport needs.
FAQs
Concrete remediation refers to the repair, resurfacing, or refurbishment of existing concrete infrastructure to extend its service life. It is often more cost-effective and environmentally friendly than replacing structures with new-build solutions.
Yes. Concrete Canvas can reline, resurface, and protect damaged concrete. It eliminates the need for extensive equipment and reduces future maintenance costs. For most remediation projects, CCT1™ (5mm thick) is used to minimise capacity loss while still providing robust protection.
Remediation using CC or CCH offers:
-
Significant cost savings compared to new builds
-
Operational efficiency through rapid installation
-
Environmental benefits, with reduced material use and waste
-
Extended asset life and reduced lifecycle costs
